1. Introduction

These Terms govern your use of Video Transcript API, including this website, the REST API, the MCP server and the dashboard at app.bestvideotranscriptapi.com. The service is provided by Tatsat Bodhaa (OPC) Private Limited. Using the service means you accept these Terms.

3. The Service

You send us a link to a public YouTube video or Short, Instagram reel, Facebook reel or video, a video in a public X or LinkedIn post, or an audio or video file, and we send back its transcript. We use the video's captions when it has them and AI transcription when it doesn't. We don't host, publish or redistribute the videos themselves.

4. Your Content and Rights

Only send links and files you have the right to process. You are responsible for how you use the transcripts, including respecting copyright and the terms of the platforms the videos come from. Your files and transcripts stay yours; you let us process them only to provide the service.

5. Accounts and API Keys

You are responsible for keeping your account and API keys confidential and for all activity under them. If you think a key has leaked, delete it in the dashboard and create a new one.

6. Acceptable Use

Use the service only for lawful purposes. Rate limits apply to every plan. You agree not to:

• Resell, share or publish your API keys, or resell access to the service.
• Get around rate limits or plan limits, for example by spreading requests across several accounts.
• Disrupt, overload or try to break into the service or the systems behind it.
• Use the service to process content you have no right to, or for anything illegal.

7. Plans and Billing

We offer Free, Basic, Pro and Scale plans, paid monthly or yearly. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record.

• Plan hours reset at the start of each billing period and don't roll over.
• Extra hours you buy never expire.
• Unlimited caption transcripts are subject to fair use.
• You can change or cancel your plan from the billing page. If you cancel at the end of your billing period, you keep your plan until then; if you cancel straight away, you move to Free at once.
• We may change prices. Changes apply from your next billing period, and we'll tell you before they do.

8. Refunds

Payments are non-refundable. If you think you were charged by mistake, email us and we'll look into it.

9. Availability and Accuracy

We work to keep the service running, but we provide it as is, without guarantees of uptime. It depends on third-party platforms that can change or block access without notice, and transcripts, especially AI ones, can contain mistakes.

10. Suspension and Termination

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or abuse the service.

11. Intellectual Property

The service, website, docs and software are owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

12. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of India.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Changes will be effective when posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
